Cheerful
Phoenix
We brought Aira’s phoenix logo to life through a custom chibi-style mascot—designed to reflect the brand’s energy, optimism, and mission in workforce training for Japan.
Aira is a professional training center that prepares individuals for employment opportunities in Japan, focusing on skill-building and Japanese language proficiency. In 2025, they approached us with a special request—to design a mascot that would embody the spirit of their brand while engaging both trainees and the broader public.
Inspired by their phoenix-shaped logo, we developed a chibi-style character that radiates warmth, energy, and positivity. The character design preserved the symbolic elements of the original logo, particularly its distinctive red-orange palette, representing growth, rebirth, and rising ambition.
The mascot needed to strike a balance: fun and friendly to appeal to students, while still aligning with the institution’s professional identity. We focused on expressive eyes, soft feather details, and a dynamic pose to give the phoenix a lively, uplifting presence.
This character is now used in various Aira materials—digital content, presentations, merch, and signage—serving not just as a visual mascot, but as a motivational symbol for every learner in their journey toward success.
